Andy Chrysostomou: Wing Chun Gong Fu Teacher

Andy began his training in 1990 with Western Boxing which he practiced in the Army. This was the foundation upon which he continued his studies in the Chinese Martial Arts. Due to living in Kowloon, Hong Kong in his youth, Andy decided to look at the close range style of Wing Chun (Yongchun Quan) which has a strong link to this area of Southern China. He has studied the Ip Man/Ip Chun system of Wing Chun for ten years. These two teachers traded information openly and so Damo studies Wing Chun under Andy whilst Andy is studying Qi Gong and Hebei Xingyiquan with Damo.

Andy is the newest teacher within our group and teaches Wing Chun Gong Fu in Street, Somerset under the headings of Lotus Nei Gong and the Wing Chun Boxing Collective. He is currently available for private tuition.

To get in contact with Andy, please contact him at the following e-mail address: andy.chrysostomou@gmail.com or ring: 01458 446661. His website can be found at: www.wingchunboxingcollective.co.uk

Neil began his studies of the martial arts at a young age with Shotokan karate which he studied initially with his father and then later with other teachers. Neil still practices Karate today in South Wales.

In late 2005 Neil met Damo who had just opened a small class in Cardiff’s Aikido centre. Neil was the first serious internal martial arts student of Lotus Nei Gong outside of the Mitchell family. Neil studied many aspects of Gong Fu with Damo but specialised in Yang Family Taijiquan and Nei Gong. Neil eventually took over Damo’s class in Cardiff which he continues to teach. Neil is a regular on Lotus Nei Gong courses and assists with the teaching of Taijiquan. His studies currently continue with Damo and Paul as he is now working on the more advanced aspects of his style.
