Qi Gong (Chi Kung)
The Treasure of Chinese Medicine
For thousands of years the Chinese people have been practicing various forms of moving and stationary exercises which we now know as Qi Gong.
Qi Gong exercises are a combination of various static or moving exercises which are combined with deep, diaphragmatic breathing and mental intention. The practice of Qi Gong leads to increased oxygenation of the blood and a healthy, unobstructed flow of Qi throughout the body. This leads to an improved immune system, a good level of health and a clear mind; all invaluable for attaining a long and happy life.
“Daoist Qi Gong has improved my health no end, I no longer feel drained, stressed and tense during the course of my day.” Student from Cardiff, Wales
At higher levels, Qi Gong exercises can be used to move through the Nei Gong process leading to a deeper understanding of internal practices and spiritual awakening. The Daoists called this process of internal transformation ‘attaining union with the Dao’.
